Summer is warm and very humid weather in India. From March to June the summer season lasts. Due to the very high temperature in summer we need to care more. Let’s get some tips to stay healthy this summer season.
Stay Hydrated Throughout The Day
You need to drink at least 10 glasses if the weather is extremely hot. carry with you a water bottle or a sugar-free energy drink all the time. stay hydrated in all the way. If possible try to take more liquid diet in summer.
Protect Your Body From Heat Over-Exposure
Apply SPF if you are wearing clothes that have your skin come in direct contact with the sun. You could also wear a hat and sunglasses to protect yourself from the scorching heat whenever you step out. Aloe Vera gel is the best to calm the adverse effects of sun-overexposure or any kind of skin sunburn.
Grow An Organic Nursery At Home
Nature is the best gift to us, and we need to maintain it. Make a rule to grow at least one plant every summer, just as a part of a small contribution to nurturing mother Earth. You can start with a small kitchen garden that would help you in growing herbs and fresh vegetables. Or scale it up to a terrace garden or growing more plants in your backyard. Teach your children also to do the same.
Exercise VigorouslySummer demands more exercise.
If you exercise more, you will sweat more and this will make you thirsty to drink more water. Summer is the best period to maximize your activities since it won’t be raining. However, do not work out from 9 am to 4 pm in the sun because that will burn your skin. So, exercise more and sweat more.
Eat Healthy stay healthily
Include healthy juices, raw salads, and other healthy meals during morning and evening. Light protein and light fats are also good for the body since summer brings out a lot of nuts, seeds, bean sprouts, soy products, yogurt, etc. The best is to eat more fresh fruits and vegetables.
Drink Lots Of Green Tea
Green tea with lemon and honey keeps the body well-hydrated. It has a natural component that helps speed up metabolism. Green tea contains less caffeine than coffee, but enough to produce an effect that will do just to wake you up in the morning. Don’t Work Out An Empty Stomach
When you work-out on an empty stomach in the mornings or evening, you feel tired and weak. To work out during the summers have a small sandwich or a couple of bananas before dashing out the door or starting to work-out. To run on an empty stomach, the body might not give away enough energy and increases the chances of you fainting or tiring out easily.
