Punjab

Punjab,a  name  that defines its  name as “Panj aab” famously referred to as ‘The land of five rivers’, is situated in the north western part of India.  A land of lush green fields and young blood of country. This fertile land ranks amongst the most ancient civilizations in the world. A land where the most young blood joins army to serve the  nation. And had already contributed a great for freedom of nation. Punjab is also famous for its religious diversity as it was here many religious movements were initiated. Not only from heart Punjab is  stunning for its beauty also. The scenic landscape, rich history and famous religious sites are the most important reasons for increasing number of visits by tourists.

Mohali, Chandigarh and Panchkula together are called Tri-city. The city Mohali of Punjab acquired its name after Guru Gobind Singh’s eldest son Sahibzada Ajit Singh and hence is also called as SAS Nagar. While retaining its ancient heritage, Mohali, is also home to a good number of IT industries.

Amritsar when you hear your mind is sure to recall the famous attraction in the land – The Golden temple. Jallianwala Bagh is still having its all memories of sacrifice. This ancient land is home to various shrines and places of historical importance. Wagah Border is still the priority for those who want to see the parade and activities of Indian and Pakistan army.

Ludhiana is the largest city of Punjab. It has its share of historical monuments and religious centres. It is situated close to the banks of river Sutlej. This city is not having numerous visiting places but this land had made a significant contribution to freedom fighters. Still, Lodhi Fort and Punjab Agricultural University Museum can be a good spot for visitors.

Jalandhar, the land that boasts of a rich history is also famous for sports goods. Most of the firms of clothes and sports shoes and other goods are produced by this city. This ancient part of the world, which is mentioned in the epic Mahabharata, has some of the most famous sites of historical importance and religious significance. Wonderland Theme Park is also an amazing fun and visiting a place.

Patiala, the city has some of the best architecture that reflects the glorious past of the land. It is famously referred to as the ‘City of newspapers’.This city is made up of  Rajput, Punjabi and Mughal cultures.
